In the News: Indiana Missing Girl's Body found in Stream
This is currently in the news. Before I left for our youth retreat, I had read this Amber alert on my blog site. It was for a 10 year old girl in Indiana that had been missing since last week Tuesday. Her name is "Katlyn "Katie" Collman". Now, when I came back, the Amber alert had been cancelled for her due to her death! This really saddens me. My highest gifting in Mercy and I read things like this, it tears my heart out. I think we need to pray that the police and investigators find the man who did this. Also, lets pray for the girls parents, family and friends and for the community. What do you think should be done to child molesters? Do you think men who kill innocent children should get the death penalty?
This makes me much more protective over my children since you never know where a sex offender is living in yours or my town!

I think they should be put in general population in prison, with no protection, while the guards look the other way. Cruel, but deserving.

I know how you feel Patty. I have 2 little girls myself. I pray on a regular basis that the Lord gives them long life and protect them from so many things that are going on in our world. It hurts me deeply, too, when I hear things like this. Only another mother would understand how deep it hurts. That's why to some degree I can barely read or hear these stories because I hurt so much. But, now, while I'm writing this, it's coming to me that maybe God is having it hurt me so much because He's calling me to be one of the one's burdened to pray for these situations. That may be it. Not everyone feels that kind of pain when they hear news stories, but I do. I will join you in prayer Patty.
